Big Half 2021 Community Places Available through Silverfit

Join our Silverfit Team for the August 22nd Big Half Marathon – we are looking for runners and supporters to join the Vitality Big Half marathon, helping the charity break down the idea that age is a barrier to physical activity!

The Vitality Big Half is not a competing running event but a community festival for everyone, no matter your age, background or running ability. A stunning 13.1-mile world-class running event, starting at Tower Bridge and finishing at the Cutty Sark in Greenwich and we would love for you to join our team!

Where there is a will there is a way.

With this event Silverfit want to inspire, particularly those who have always dreamt to run their first half marathon but maybe they do not know from where to start, how to train or perhaps they think they are too old to start.

Silverfit CEO and Founder, Edwina Brocklesby, ran her first marathon at the age of 52, and soon after entered a triathlon. At age 72 Eddie went on to become the oldest British woman to complete an Ironman!

“If I can start to run at 50 and become the oldest British woman to complete an Ironman, everyone should realise it’s never too late,” Eddie said in an interview.
